The senior executive via his post announced that the company has been working on this foldable smartphone for over 4 years now and they worked with 6 prototypes before finalizing the one which is about to get released. Here’s the official teaser of the Oppo Find N shared by Oppo’s official Twitter handle- From the official render, it looks like the smartphone has triple rear cameras. Though Oppo hasn’t revealed anything about the specs particularly, their press note says, “Whether it’s fast charging, high refresh rates, mobile photography covering several focal lengths or 5G connectivity, smartphone development has reached a limit that requires new ways of thinking and new approaches to continue innovating,” Pete Lau has also spoken about the hurdles in making this smartphone, which include problems related to utility, durability, and user experience. These issues continued to prevent foldable devices from becoming a more feasible option for most people. The Oppo Find N is called to be “easy to use” and maintains an “appropriate weight and size.” It will address issues such as crease in display and durability. Oppo has also clarified that the ‘N’ in the moniker of Oppo Find N stands for “New possibilities”. The secondary screen on the outer panels does not have any bezels. It will be interesting to see how Oppo will price its foldable device, as these devices are mostly expensive. For example, Xiaomi’s Mi Mix Fold debuted at around Rs. 1,12,100 while the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 was priced at Rs. 1,49,999 for the 256GB storage variant. Huawei is also in competition as its MateXs is priced at Rs. 1,93,000.
