This time, a Malaysian Youtuber declassified the Pixel 6a and said the handset isn’t that great by Malaysian standards. Well, it could be, but it’s okay with the US standards as many western people value performance and software more than cameras and audio.
Pixel 6a Leaked Through a YouTube Video
In the I/O event this year, Google announced that Pixel 6a is coming to US and more regions soon. As we wait for the launch, leaks regarding this handset continue to flow in from various parts of the world. Late last month, the Google French site showcased Pixel 6a’s fingerprint sensor and in-box components. Though it was pulled down a few days later, a fresh video was posted this week by a Malaysian YouTuber, who even reviewed the phone to its end. In his video, Fazli Halim shared what Pixel 6a would like and talked about its unimpressive camera performance.
His camera samples aren’t so great, so maybe he’s true. Besides this, he also mocked the Pixel 6a’s 18W wired charging, which can’t be termed a “fast charging” feature! This is true, though, as we see the budget phones offering 18W wired charging speeds these days, so a phone from Google should do more. A good thing, at last, is the display, which is of 6.1″ OLED display with no frills anywhere. Under the good, it’s got a Tensor chip – Google’s in-house made processor, coupled with Mali-G78 MP20 GPU, stereo speakers and an in-display fingerprint sensor. With an average battery capacity of 4,410mAh, it may come with Android 12 out of the box, although upgradeable to Android 13 at its earliest. Hoping it won’t carry any bugs like its other Pixel 6 counterparts, this phone is scheduled for pre-orders starting July 21 with a $449 price tag.
